Joseph Muller Brockmann

LINK

Artist: Joseph Muller Brockmann
Name: Anthologie de Musique Suisse
Year: 1969?

Joseph Muller Brockman is a famous Swiss graphic designer who created posters for many different concerts and in 1958, he was a founding editor for the New Graphic Design. he was also famous for using the grid system for the type in his work.

I love how simple this poster is. It is just three circles that are used to make an album and whose colors are muted enough to keep the poster's look simple and elegant...not bright and loud.
These things help make for the serious and solid look/tone of the poster. One can also see the way the staggering of the text fits well within the grid system.
