Demonizing the Enemy
The Propaganda Technique I chose to research and crete a poster on was the Demonizing the Enemy style. This style is all about creating an image that in some way leads others to hate/fear certain people/groups by "demonizing them", which simply means that the intention in the work is to dehumanize the individuals/groups by making them appear demonic or evil and/or representing them in a subhuman manner, to which the goal is to get the viewer to be frightened by/disgusted with the characters on the poster. These four examples show how this technique is used in that they all portray the people as subhuman/demonic and create an erie feeling that is a mix between fear and hate the artists wanted to portray. Even if one doesn't hate the people represented, one can still feel the "shadiness" or creepiness that sets the tone in these works.
